Supporting Earthquake Survivors: A Journey of Healing and Empowerment

In the wake of the devastating 2010 earthquake, FEJ was asked by IBERS to create a space to support mothers who were left disabled by the disaster. Through our program, we provided these women with artificial limbs, arms, trauma therapy, and rehabilitation services, empowering them to rebuild their lives.

During their time with us, we not only cared for the women but also provided support for their children, offering a safe and nurturing environment for families as they healed. The program ran from October 2010 to October 2011, operating in three phases, each lasting four months:

  1. October 2010 to February 2011: 18 women
  2. April 2011 to July 2011: 10 women
  3. July 2011 to October 2011: 11 women

In total, we supported 39 women and their 11 children, impacting a total of 50 lives through this life-changing initiative.
